The registration procedure at the University of Tours is divided into 3 stages.

Stage 1: online pre-registration

You must register only on the Internet thanks to an online application form (Mobility Online).
Once you have been nominated by your university you just need to provide your personal information by filling in the online form. Then, you need to create an account , complete the file and print 1 copy of the PDF document you will get at the end.

If you do not have immediate access to a printer, you can save the PDF file and print it later.

N.B.: the copy must be signed by the exchange co-ordinator in your home university. You must also sign it yourself, and then send it by regular mail to Frédéric Soreau or Marianne Bigot, your contacts in Tours, including 1 passport-type photo.

If you want to come as an exchange student and if your country is among the list underneath, please follow this procedure on the portal "Etudes en France".

*** We advise you to arrive by the beginning of January 2019 so that you have enough time to register and to explore the city and the university.

Registrations will start from January 10th 2019 at the International Relations Office. Once we have received your complete file, we will contact you to give you an appointment for your registration.

Stage 2: Accommodation

• Types of accommodation:
You can choose among several types of accommodation:

*Public housing:

- Residence halls (Forms gathered by our University (only for exchange students) and processed by the CROUS, please refer to the accommodation request form underneath)

*Private housing:

- Private accommodation: The University of Tours has now its own online platform to offer and find student accommodation (Private room, apartment, shared rental....).  Once you sign up, if you are not a student of the University of Tours yet, enter the following code: HOUSINGUNIVTOURS. (please note that the University does not intervene in your accommodation research)

- Private students residences (not managed by our University)

• Booking accommodation:

You must fill in and print the form below (please complete it on the computer, save it and print it; You have to follow the 2 steps explained underneath to obtain your INE number):

N.B : The accommodation request form must be sent in together with the signed registration form. Failure to comply will lead to the form not being accepted.
No answer will be given to request forms sent in independently of the registration document.

ATTENTION, from now on, in order to book an accommodation in a residence hall, you must follow 2 steps:

1- Follow the online procedure provided by the CROUS (Step by Step on ATTENTION, this is the procedure through which you will get your INE number.
N.B. : if you are a classical exchange student (erasmus or exchange agreement), you should not pay the CVEC tax, no refunding will be possible if you pay it by mistake. If you are coming in the frame of a paying program (English master, intensive CUEFEE EEP program, licence FLE...), then you have to pay the CVEC tax.

2- Upload your accommodation request form onto our online preregistration portal Mobility Online, send a hard copy along with your pregistration form duly signed.

Both steps must accomplished in order to be accepted in a residence hall.

Stage 3: Final Registration

On arrival in Tours, go to the International Office - 60, rue du Plat d’étain (Building A, ground floor)- to meet Frédéric SOREAU or Marianne BIGOT, your administrative coordinators. Please refer to this downloadable map or this interactive map.

They will provide you with documents containing the basic information you will need for a successful stay. They will also give you the form required for your final registration in the Faculty of your choice.

N.B: if you have not yet found accommodation on arriving in Tours, we advise you to book a room in a hotel for a few nights.
