Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava (Romania) will host, from 2 to 6 June 2026, a new edition of its International Week (staff week). This event is dedicated to staff members from partner institutions who wish to develop their international outlook, share practices and build new collaborations. Under the theme “Connecting Ideas, Crossing Borders”, this international week will bring together colleagues from across Europe and beyond, in an environment that fosters intercultural exchange and professional development.

A week at the heart of international exchange

Throughout the week, participants will be invited to take part in workshops, roundtable discussions and collaborative sessions focusing on key contemporary topics such as cross-border cooperation, entrepreneurship, democratic values, intercultural skills and career development support. Beyond these sessions, the event will offer numerous opportunities for informal meetings and networking, encouraging the creation of lasting connections between universities. Cultural events and guided tours will also provide insight into the rich heritage of the Bukovina region, adding a human and immersive dimension to the experience. The week will also feature several international events organised in parallel, including activities of the NEOLAiA alliance, a forum on democracy and public decision-making, and an international economic conference addressing the challenges of sustainable development.

A professionally and personally enriching experience

Taking part in a staff week is a valuable opportunity to enhance professional practices, develop intercultural skills and gain inspiration from experiences in different institutional contexts. These mobilities also help to strengthen professional networks and actively contribute to the internationalisation of our university.
