Discover the winners of the 3rd call for applications of the “Visiting Researchers NEOLAiA/LE STUDIUM” Programme, launched with the support of the France 2030 Plan!
The NEOLAiA team, the University of Tours and Le Studium are delighted to present the results of the third call for applications of the “Visiting Researchers NEOLAiA/LE STUDIUM” Programme. This programme aims to strengthen scientific ties between the laboratories of the University of Tours and those of the partner universities of the NEOLAiA alliance by hosting researchers for periods ranging from 3 to 9 months.
Marcel Mindrescu, Associate Professor in Earth Sciences/Geography, University of Suceava, Romania → Hosted by GéHCO (Continental Geohydrosystems), University of Tours.
Marcel Mindrescu will be hosted by GéHCO for a period of 6 months as part of his research project entitled: “Assessment of the dynamics of heavy metal contamination in terrestrial and aquatic environments affected by military conflicts and cross-border transport corridors: a case study in Ukraine and north-eastern Romania.” Dr Mindrescu’s research interests and scientific expertise in palaeolimnology and environmental pollution fit perfectly within GéHCO’s research strategy, particularly regarding issues related to water contamination.
Jonatán Cruz Angeles, Associate Professor of Public International Law and International Relations, University of Jaén, Spain → Hosted by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Legal Research (IRJI), University of Tours.
Jonatán Cruz Angeles will be hosted by the IRJI for a period of 3 months as part of his research project entitled: “The Prudent Judge: International Jurisdictions Facing Judicial Activism.” This stay will help strengthen ties between the University of Jaén and the University of Tours, and his research project fits within the laboratory’s research themes, particularly its “Democracies, Freedoms and Public Policies” and “Norms and Institutions in Europe” areas of research.
