Call for Contributions: DeepTech Connect 2026

The DeepTech Connect 2026 International Conference invites researchers, companies, start-ups, and innovators from across the NEOLAiA alliance to submit contributions and showcase their work in the field of deep technologies. Organised within the A-SIDE project, this event aims to bridge research, innovation, and entrepreneurship by promoting collaboration between academia and industry.

About the conference

DeepTech Connect 2026 provides a platform to present high-quality research results, emerging innovations, and early-stage technological developments across a wide range of deep tech domains.

The event adopts an interactive exhibition format (prototypes, posters, demos, simulations), fostering direct engagement between participants and encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange.

A book of proceedings will be published following the conference.

Who can apply

The call is open to:

  • Researchers and PhD candidates
  • Universities and research groups
  • Start-ups and companies
  • Project consortia and innovators

Contributions from NEOLAiA alliance regions are particularly encouraged.

Submissions may address (but are not limited to):

  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
  • Advanced manufacturing and materials
  • Robotics and electronics
  • Quantum computing and photonics
  • Biotechnology and bioengineering
  • Sustainable energy and clean technologies
  • Entrepreneurship and innovation

Types of contributions

Participants can submit:

  • Short scientific papers (up to 4 pages)
  • Project presentations
  • Company or innovation showcases

All submissions must be original and will undergo peer review.

Participation in the conference is free of charge, supported by the A-SIDE project.

A-SIDE (A-SIDE project), in which the Université de Tours is a partner, is funded by the EIT Higher Education Initiative. The project acts as a European hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in deep tech, focusing on:
