The university is delighted to host the second conference of the NEOLAiA legal network on 28 and 29 May 2026. This event, supported in particular by the NEOLAiA Research Collaboration Fund, will enable around fifty academic researchers from the alliance to share their expertise and engage in fruitful discussions.
Co-organised by Colombine Madelaine (University of Tours) and Ann-Christine Petersson Hjelm (University of Örebro), this meeting will focus on both research and pedagogy, with the first day dedicated to research on the interpretation of law in a changing world – a cross-cutting topic of interest to all branches of law – and the second day devoted to pedagogy relating to the humanistic teaching of law and the use of serious games in legal education.
The first meeting in May 2025 led to the publication of the book ‘The Common Constitutional Traditions in the European Union: their Content and Legal Value’, featuring contributions from Karin Blad, Magnus Kristoffersson, Pasquale Pistone, Anna Berry, Eleonor Kristoffersson, Gustav Lindkvist, Colombine Madelaine, Fabienne Labelle, Alessia Tomo, Viktoriia Pankratova, Gabriela Nemtoi, Raluca Onufreiciuc, Matteo Gentile, Abdulmuttalip Erduran, Tommy Leroux, Bruno Concas, Karin Blad, Martina Zanfino, Florin Cazacu, Cristina Callejón Hernández, Lukas Kindberg and Ana López Navío.
This publication is the demonstration of the richness of the discussions, the expertise of the participants and the importance of the meetings between the networks of the alliance’s universities and associated partners. This second meeting provides an opportunity to further strengthen these exchanges.
