The University of Tours is pleased to share the invitation from its partner institution Šiaulių valstybinė kolegija (Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences, Lithuania), which will host the 10th International Staff Week from 13 to 17 April 2026 in Šiauliai.

This week is open to all staff interested in developing their professional skills, regardless of their department or role. The Staff Week will also provide participants with the opportunity to discover other universities, exchange with colleagues across the NEOLAiA alliance, and immerse themselves in Lithuanian culture.

Two audiences and a shared programme

The week will welcome two distinct audiences:

  • Staff working in communication who wish to join the NEOLAiA PR & Communication Network. They will take part in the shared activities but will also attend workshops specific to their network, focusing on institutional communication, public relations, and the promotion of their university’s image.
  • Staff from any department or service who wish to learn more about Šiauliai State University of Applied Sciences, gain insights into the functioning and practices of other NEOLAiA universities, and participate in workshops and visits centred on exchanging good practices and mutual learning.
Both groups will share certain activities but will also follow separate tracks at times.

A European training and networking week

This Staff Week aims to:

  • promote Erasmus+ staff mobility,
  • encourage the sharing of good practices among European universities,
  • develop cross-cutting professional skills,
  • strengthen professional cooperation within the NEOLAiA alliance.
Participants will also have the opportunity to discover the host institution and its faculties, and enjoy informal networking through cultural activities, including an excursion to the iconic Hill of Crosses, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
